Gloria was born, raised and educated in Hurricane. Following her high school graduation in 1944, she moved to California where she worked in Long Beach for Drown News Agency. She retired in 1997. Gloria moved home to Hurricane in 2002.
Gloria loved the beach and Southern California. She enjoyed photography, reading, dancing, scrapbooking, sewing and crochet. Gloria always had an immaculate home. She was talented in home decorating. Every Memorial day Gloria would love to take a folding chair to the Cemetery and decorate graves and spend the day. She also enjoyed going to funerals.
Gloria had many friends and those she worked with became her family. She was very giving and compassionate. All her nieces and nephews dearly loved their Aunt Gloria, and she showered them with gifts and attention.
She is survived by her sister, Joyce Adams of Hurricane, UT and her brother Rowland (Judy) Hinton of Hurricane, UT; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurricane 1st Ward Chapel, 270 S. 700 W., Hurricane, UT. There will be a viewing one hour prior to services at the Chapel. Interment will take place in the Hurricane City Cemetery.
