Afton attended school in Grace, Idaho and graduated from Grace Rural High School in 1937.
On November 23, 1945 she married John (Pinky) Francis Roberts.
Afton was employed at the First National Bank in Grace, ID, the Bank of America in San Diego, CA, the First Security Bank in Pocatello, ID, and the bank located in Lava Hot Springs, ID for many years. Afton also worked for Utah Power and Light in Lava Hot Springs.
When she was young, she was baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a visiting teacher.
Afton enjoyed dancing, golf, bridge, crocheting and gardening; she also enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in sporting activities.
Survivors include daughters, Christine Roberts and Paula Neeser both of Pocatello, Idaho; sons, John (Diane) Roberts of Grace, ID and Paul (Sheila) Roberts of Pocatello, ID; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Afton was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert & Harriet (Christensen) Titus; husband, John Roberts; granddaughter, Kimberly Roberts; and great-great-granddaughter, Rainee Wieblhaus.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 7-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83201, 208-233-1500.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11 am at the Lava LDS Church 437 W. Spring Street Lava Hot Springs, Idaho 83246 with a viewing for one hour prior.
Burial will follow at the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery.
