Nancy Etta McCool, 79, of Camden, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at home in Camden. Mrs. McCool was born July 22, 1936 in Bearden, the daughter of Oscar B. Doherty Sr., and Etta Curtis Doherty. She was of the Assembly of God Faith.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James G. McCool; sisters, Luttie Fae Vaughan, and Mandy Sue Doherty; grandchildren, Sadie Wactor, Cody McLelland, and Daisy Davenport; sons-in law, Burel Merritt and Danny Hicks; and special friend, M.D. Hooks.
Survivors include her daughter, Luttie Hicks (Rex) of Louann, AR; daughter, Janice Ables of Chidester; son, Ronnie McCool of Camden; daughter, Amanda Sue Merritt of Camden; son Oscar James "Bubba" McCool and wife, Rose of Camden; brother, Oscar Doherty, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Banks; thirteen grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Bearden First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Moss Cemetery at Bearden.
Visitation will be Monday May 16, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the home of April Teague, her granddaughter, 1880 California Ave SW. in Camden.
