Billie Jewel Fields Barton was born January 3, 1929 in Dunbar, Va. She received her angel wings on January 19, 2016 in London, Ky. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert H. Barton, Sr. (Bud), two sons, Robert H. Barton, Jr and wife Virginia and Jeff Barton and wife Kathy and one daughter, Marietta Barton-Baxter and husband Jeff, six grandsons, Neil Barton and wife Kerri, Bryan Barton, Jeffrey Barton, Michael Barton, Tyler Shelton, and Will Shelton and wife Kim, and one granddaughter, Kristen Pulliam and husband Devin and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Etta Fields and two sisters, Margaret Fields Gayness and Naomi Fields Daugherty. She was the Office Manager of the Coalfield Progress in Norton, VA for 17 years and Co-owner of Barton's Jewel Box in London, KY. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23 at First United Methodist Church of London with a reception to follow.
