The recent bereavement which has visited our home has brought to us a greater apprecition of our friends. Such kindness and neighborly thoughtfulness can never be forgotten.
Mrs. Lulu Patterson and family
Mr. and Mrs. Charley Schlarb and family
Three little sisters grew side by side
Letha and Bessie and Lou
Letha and Lulu both had brown eyes
But Bessie's eyes were blue.
Thro' sunshine and shadow the whole day long
They played these sisters three
Sometimes they'd play with never a word
And sometimes they'd disagree.
Letha and Bessie'd both run to me
Each with a tale of woe
I'd ask baby Lou which was to blame
She'd answer, "I don't know."
The days went on and the years flew by
My little girls were grown
And in less time than it takes to tell
Each from the nest have flown.
Letha and Lulu both have wee tots
Filling their homes with joy
But Bessie was called to home above
Leaving her baby boy.
and tonight as I sit in the twilight dim
And dream of my babies three
It semms in my mind their tiny forms
Are gathered around my knee.
I reach out my arms to embrace each one
And hold them close to me
But I know as I find only empty space
'tis just a sweet memory.
