Jennie Swenson and John Hultquist were married in July 1891 in Denver. They were married for over 30 years and lived in rural Eastern Colorado. They had 6 children, J Walter, twins Mabel and Maud, Arthur E, Carl A who tragically died in 1922 in a car accident and Mary Victoria who died in 1921 from an illness.
In the 1920s Jennie moved to Denver, she was a city girl at heart, where she ran a small shop. Jennie S. Hultquist filed suit in 1928 in Yuma County against John Hultquist for divorce, and for partition of property. It is unclear whether she moved to Denver before or after the divorce but her daughter Mary V who died in 1921 is also buried at Crown Hill Cemetery in Block 17 next to her sister Mabel Hultquist Garton.
