He was born July 30, 1925 in Marion to Leroy and Fay Armes Sullins. He married Barbara Howerton on September 6, 1950 in Piggott AR and she survives. Other survivors include son James D. Sullins II of San Diego, daughter, Linda Ann Goodale of Dallas. His parents and a brother, William Sullins preceded him in death.
