(1) 28 Dec 1743 by Rev. John Casper Stoever in Tulpehocken to Anna Maria Becker. Anna Maria, dau. of Peter Becker and wife Katherine, was b. abt 1723 prob. in Berks Co., Pa.; d. 6-12 Dec 1745 in Marion Twp.
~The Tulpehocken Zellers by Valentine 2012

"Johannes Zeller, of Tulpehocken township, evidently son of John Henry, the emigrant settler, made his will May 13, 1795, and it was probated Dec. 23, 1805, the witnesses being Christian Lower and Johan Dieffenbach, and the executors Francis (Frantz) Paul Zeller and Valentine Sailes. Johannes Zeller's children were: Francis; Peter; Elizabeth, who married John Beitenour; Catharine, who married Philip Zehring; Margaret, who married Valentine Seller; and Mary, Mrs. Lefever, who had four children, John, Henry, George and Catherine. Johannes Zeller, the father of this family, built the house now on the Weaver farm in Marion township, which is in a substantial condition and likely to last many years. On the east gable the following inscription appears: "Wan Ich einmahl starben Musta," and another inscription reads: "Hannes Zeller, Kattarina Zellerin, 1773."

"Phillip, b. 5 Nov 1744 (C119); prob. chr. at Trinity Tulpehocken Ref. Church, Jackson Twp., Lebanon, Pa.; md. Margaret Ries (C35).

"John Peter, b. 6 Dec 1745; chr. 12 Dec 1745 at Christ Lutheran Church, Stouchsburg, Berks, Pa., with Henry Zeller and Peter Becker as witnesses (C15); md. Catherine Wilhelm (C84).
"John Peter was b. 6 Dec 1745; and at his chr. on 12 Dec 1745 the witnesses were specified as Henry Zeller and Peter Becker and his parents as John Zeller and Anna Maria nee Becker "dead in Coffin" (C15 Christ Lutheran Church Records, Stouchsburg, Berks, Pa.). It is assured that "dead in coffin" applies to the mother and not the son, since John Peter did not die until 1817 after having married and begetting several children. While the date of John's second marriage as 1746 is merely assumed, it is probably accurate since the respective christening records further verify that son John Peter's mother was Anna Maria and dau. Anna Maria's mother was Catherine.
"This confirms the dividing point between John's two families, only the first two children being by his first wife..."

"John Zeller's farm of 167 a. was located originally in Tulpehocken Twp., but after 1844 in Marion Twp., a short distance north of Christ Lutheran Church. John was the first to build a log cabin on this tract. In 1750 he built a wooden structure for a home, and in 1772 added a stone addition, placing a plaque engraved "Hannes Zeller, Kattarina Zellerin, 1772" in the stone. (Note: Kattarina on the plaque obviously refers to John's second wife, and Katrina dying around 1770 after 24 years of marriage seems reasonable-JFV). John lived in this expanded house until his death in 1805, after which his son Franz Paul and family resided therein. This house is still being used as a residence in 1971...
"John Zeller of Tulpehocken Twp made his will on 13 May 1799 and it was proved in Berks Co. on 25 Dec 1805..."
