Amos Perkins was b abt 1795, Massachusetts, the s/o Joseph Perkins & Phoebe Weare. He d 12 July 1857, North Haven at the age of 62 years.

Amos Perkins is not enumerated with his family in the Perkins Genealogy. However, the relationships with other Perkins family members is strong. As he would be the youngest child, it is quite possible, if not probable, that he is the son of Joseph.

It does not appear that Amos married.

In 1840, Amos is alone, aged between 50 & 60. It appears he is residing on the South Shore Road, by William Banks Jr, Perez Babbidge, John Smith 3rd and Glover Thomas.

In 1850, 55-year-old Amos is residing on North Haven with the family of John & Margaret Smith. He is working as a merchant. Nearby is the family of Glover & Emeline (Perkins) Thomas & her mother, Mehitable Perkins. Mehitable was his sister-in-law and Emeline was his niece.

On 30 May 1854, Amos Perkins was included in North Haven's Tax Assessment. He has 1 poll, (70 acres, 1 house & 1 car, 4 3-year-old cows, 1 2-year-old cows, 25 sheep and 1 swine was scratched out). Real estate value: blank. Personal property value: blank. Total Tax Assessment: blank.
