Arthur G. “Gussie” Kuhlman, age 90, of Faribault, died on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at his home.

Memorial services will be held at St. Luke’s Church, Faribault, on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Aaron Brockmeier officiating.

Interment at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

A memorial visitation will be at the church for one hour prior to the services on Saturday.

Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.

Arthur G., the son of Gustave H. and Emma (Michelson) Kuhlman, was born on April 24, 1925 in Faribault. He graduated from Faribault High School in 1943. Art married Elizabeth Swanson on June 28, 1953. He attended Minnesota Apprentice Watchmaker School and Mankato Watchmaker Program. Art joined his father in business in 1946 at the Kuhlman Jewelry Store, Faribault, and continued to operate the store until April 24, 1987 when he closed the store. In 1990, he joined Chappuis Jewelry Store, Faribault, as a part time watch repairman and engraver until 2014. Art was active over the years in many professional and civic boards and organizations, including Minnesota Retail Jewelry Association, Faribault Jaycees, Minnesota State Guard as a Sergeant, American Legion Post #43 Drum and Bugle Corp, American Legion Post #43, Sons of American Legion, Faribault Golf Club, Faribault Eagle’s Club, Faribault Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge member, and St. Paul Osmun Shrine member, and he also served on various boards at St. Luke’s Church, Faribault.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty Lou”; two sons, Thomas Kuhlman and Robert (and Lisa) Kuhlman, all of Faribault; two grandchildren, Alison (and Tyler) Webb and Jennifer Kuhlman; one great granddaughter, Annamarie; and one sister, Ruth (and Dr. Charles) Overby of Athens, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Florence (Dr. Robert S.) Hage.
