Civil War Union Army Surgeon. He served during the Civil War as Assistant Surgeon of the 141st Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. Mustered in on September 12, 1862, he died on July 4, 1863.

He was the grandson of Rev. Cuthbert Landreth, the son of Rev. Jesse Thompson, the brother of Rev. Jesse Bond Thompson (March 9, 1842 - ) ans the brother of Mary Landreth Higgins (1804-1848).
