Arlene married Kenneth J. Goodfriend on Oct. 18, 1945, at Bethany Methodist Parsonage in Watertown.

Mrs. Goodfriend worked as a head cashier at A&P Grocery for many years. She was dedicated and loyal to the A&P and thoroughly enjoyed her time spent with wonderful coworkers who became lifelong friends.

She had a true love for music, especially country and gospel. She played the violin in her high school orchestra and came from a long line of square dancers and fiddlers.

She enjoyed the beauty of nature from a glorious rising sun to the exquisitely beautiful sunset. Her flower gardens were her pride and joy; an inspiration to behold.

Arlene will be endlessly loved and forever missed. May she fly home on angel’s wings.

A spring burial will be planned by the family.
