Information from his obit: Jim's family moved to Neche in 1950. He was baptized and confirmed in the Neche Methodist Church and attended Neche High School. After graduating from Moorhead State University he married his high school sweetheart, Carol Ann Hvidsten on August 18, 1957.
Carol was a daughter of Bert Adolph Hvidsten, born in Minnesota (1905-1994) and Irene Evelyn Felt, born in North Dakota (1910-1972).
James and Carol were the parents of four children. They made their home in Neche where he farmed until 1989, was a rural mail carrier until 2007, and in 2013 they moved to Fargo.
