Our beloved mother and grandmother passed away on January 11, 2016 at Intermountain Medical Center surrounded by loved ones.

She was born February 22, 1930 to Mack McKinley and Olive Nola Bowles in Moorehead, Kentucky.

She married William Ray Quinn on May 5, 1948 in Muncie, Indiana and later divorced.

She retired from the Salt Lake County Board of Health. She was a member of the LDS Church. She was a devoted mother to her four children and worked hard to provide for them. Her life was her family, whom she loved very much.

She is survived by her daughter, Tresha Hannert (Fred); her son, Steven Quinn; son in-law, Steven White; daughter in-law, Cheri Quinn Hoggan; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, her sisters, June Huffman and Doris Gilland; and sister-in-law, Virginia Bowles. Betty Jean is preceded in death by her parents, son, Rick Quinn; daughter, Delana White; grandson, Freddie Hannert; daughter-in-law, Pattie Quinn; four brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., with a viewing one hour prior, on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), Taylorsville.
