He saw combat duty in the European Theater of War from the beaches of France into Germany where his company was halted. He was proud of liberating an enemy camp of captives. Jim was employed by Chevron for 40 years as an accountant, ending his career as comptroller. He had a home business in TV and radio repair, and later in computer building and repair. He was a member of the Eagles, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Oasis Country Club men's golf and "Birthday Boys" golf.
