Mr. Marvin “Red” Massey age 77 of Stockbridge passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016.

Mr. Massey was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He worked as a Field Agent with the State of Georgia Department of Revenue, and he also worked as an Athletic Official with the Georgia High School Association, and for Sears at Southlake Mall.

He is preceded in death by wife: Bobbie Swint Massey who passed away in May of 2013; parents: Noah Frank Massey and Mamie Faye O’Neal Massey; brothers: Billy Massey, Bobby Massey, Edward Eugene Massey; sisters: Mary Helen Higdon, and Betty Jane Deckard.

He is survived by daughter: DeAnna “Dee” Massey of McDonough; brother: Noah Cecil Massey and wife Shriley of Conyers; sisters: Elizabeth Rebecca Swann and husband Lance of Lexington, SC, Shriley Anne Murray of McDonough; grandchildren: Andee Massey and Teddee Massey; close family friends: J.B. & Gail Summerour, Johnny & Lucy Clark, Alan & Jan Kersey, John & Julie Cook, and Ted & Anita Clark.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday January 21, 2016 in the Worship Center at First Baptist Church of Jonesboro with Dr. Charles Carter and Rev. Larry Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorials Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Wednesday January 20, 2016 at the funeral home.
