Married first to John James Kruzel 22 Nov 1904, married second to Michael Mahany 20 Oct 1953. Obituary: Services for Elizabeth M. Mahany, 88, will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. from St. Francis Xavier Church. Rev. Father Remy Stiglitz, OFM, will officiate and interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. this evening at the Winchester-Hallead Funeral Home wherer friends may call. Mrs. Mahany died yesterday at the Emmet County Medical Care Facility, in Harbor Springs. She was born Elizabeth Kopp in Petoskey on June 25, 1884 and had lived all her life in Emmet county. She attended St. Francis Xavier School. On November 22, 1904 she married John Kruzel, in Petoskey and he died May 23, 1926. Mrs. Mahany was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and the Altar Society. Survivors include three sons, Lawrence and Adam Kruzel, both of Cross Village and Edward Kruzel, of Petoskey; four daughters, Mrs. John (Florence) Kruskie and Mrs. Edward (Theresa) Lauer, of Petoskey, Mrs. Kenneth (Emma) Lutz, of Alanson and Mrs. Stanley (Dorothy) Vorce, of Cross Villiage; 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
