Bonnie Jo Stephens, 86, of Eden went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016.

She was born in Ackerly, Texas on Nov. 26, 1929 to Ollie Edward and Jewel Hazel Green. Her family later moved to Devine, Texas and then settled in Eden, Texas. She married the love of her life, Cowboy, on her birthday in 1949.

She worked at Eden State Bank for many years. Later Bonnie worked as the Activity Director at the Eden Nursing Home and JP Clerk at the Justice of the Peace Office. In the evenings and weekends she could be found on the ranch with Cowboy. She was a member of the Eden Church of Christ and VFW Auxiliary and cherished her role as "Mama" to her children and "Little Mama" to her grandchildren.

Bonnie never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. She always saw the positive in all aspects of life and had nothing but nice things to say about people. She loved watching Aggie football games with her family and listening to Meagan sing and Ty play the ukulele.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved son, Chip, her parents, her sisters Janie Marie Carter, Hazel Dawn Day-Raspberry, Berta Faye Owings, and her brothers Edward Green, Carl Green and Jimmie Green. Bonnie was fondly referred to by her siblings as "Baby Jo".

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Cowboy, of Eden, her daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Doug Marwitz of Cedar Park and two grandchildren, Meagan and Ty Marwitz, also of Cedar Park, two nieces, 10 nephews and countless cousins.

Pall Bearers include Roger Garza, Scott Spoonts, Steven Capps, John Cox, Joe David West and Eric Sanders.
