Chester Delain Ammerman, 79, of Washington passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016, at his residence.

Chester was born on March 18, 1936, in Vichy to the late Noel and Edith (Jones) Ammerman. On September 29, 1956, in Gerald he was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Betty) Vogt. He was a member of the Boeuff Presbyterian Church and the Owensville Masonic Lodge.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Sharon Ammerman; brother, Noel Ammerman; half-brothers, Charles and Don Ammerman and Cecil Holman.

His survivors include his children, Cheryl McQueen and Carolyn Moritz and husband, Jimmy all of Owensville and Shelley Shibles of Springfield; grandchildren, Sean McQueen, Alex, Tayler, and Sydnee Moritz and Ryan Shibles.

Funeral services will be on Monday, January 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with Pastor Ron Koppelmann Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Boeuff Presbyterian Cemetery in Gerald.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home in Owensville.
