Fred W. Prindle, of Afton, N.Y., died on Saturday at 2:53 p.m. at The Hospital in Sidney, N.Y. He was a Retiree of The Animal Disease Laboratory in New Lisbon, N.Y. He had lived at Smith Pond with his wife of 63 years, Marion Prindle. He is survived by his wife, Marion, Afton; a son and daughter-in-law, Lyle and Patricia Prindle, Four Oaks, N.C.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Hazel and Robert Theis, Apalachin, Nancy Russell, Endicott, Patricia and William Woodard, Willard, N.Y., and Rose Woodard, Elmira; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a son, Myron S. Prindle; and his brothers and sisters.The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at 10 a.m. at the Dorothy Memorial Home, 121 Main St., Afton with Rev. David Masland, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Sidney officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Mt. Upton, N.Y. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 30, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dorothy Memorial Home, Afton, N.Y. Memorial gifts may be made to the Coventry Emergency Squad.
