Gordon G. Airheart, 77, of Mason, passed away Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, in Brownwood.
He was born Dec. 24, 1938, in Mason, to Walter Chester “Check” Airheart and Ethel Isabelle (Wickliffe) Airheart.
He was a mechanic and worked for the Mason Independent School District for over 30 years. He also owned and operated Airheart Dozer Service in Mason for many years and owned the Mason Laundromat for several years. He was a lifelong resident of Mason and a longtime member of the Mason Full Gospel Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Pallbearers were Rusty Tupin, Steve Airheart, Jackie Airheart and Darcy Dickson.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of the home; one son, Tim Airheart and wife, Charla, of Early; one daughter, Mary Gail Estes of Mason; a brother, Butch Airheart and wife, Yolanda, of Brady; four sisters, Virginia Brown of Mason, Christine Cortez of Mason, Carolyn Copeland and husband, John, of Mason, and Tonie Jones and husband, Tim; eight grandchildren, Amber Tupin, Rita Dickson, Keagan Brewer, Krysta Airheart, Kayleigh Airheart, Mary Estes, Kayla Estes and Heather Foster; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Boyd Airheart; and a grandson, Christopher Krenek.
