He loved the outdoors and enjoyed going to his camp in Greenbrier County where he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved gardening and preserving his harvest. Guy was well known for his cullinary skills; it's been said that he made the best apple pie in Logan County. His sister Kathy tells of the wonderful memories she has of spending time on the Williams River with Guy. Guy and his wife, Ettia, their brother Buck and their sister Dixie would enjoy a feast of ramps, friend potatoes, eggs, and Spam..all compliments of Guy. Kathy also remembers a time when Guy used to ride his bike to Cranberry Glades from the camp.
