Joe W. Carroll Murrells Inlet Joe W. Carroll, 70, widow of Johnnie Mae Hewitt Carroll, died Monday, May 30, 2011 in a local Hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be held later at the Founders Club Golf Course, Pawleys Island. Burial will be private. Mr. Carroll was born in Peru, Indiana, a son of the late George A. Carroll and Margaret Reed Carroll. He was an Army veteran, a member of the Founders Club Golf League and enjoyed fishing. Survivors are daughters, Jolene (Larry) Watford of Sylva, N.C., and Becky Ridenour of Kokomo, Ind.; a son, John Carroll of Lafayette, Ind.; grandchildren, Jamie Ridenour and Ashley Ridenour; a great-grandson, Treson Ambrose; and a loving companion, Janie Margaret Wise of the home.
