Clarence Eugene Hawkins, age 94 of Cumming went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 17, 2016.

He was a member at Antioch Baptist Church for many years. Clarence had served as a deacon, treasurer, and Sunday school teacher at several churches in his lifetime. He served in World War II in The United States Marine Corps. He was a Purple Heart recipient. He was appointed "Mayor" by his friends at Dogwood Forest.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tomie Hawkins; 4 brothers; 1 sister.



He is survived by his children, Mattie Ginn of McDonough, Jeannie and Jeff Johnson of Cumming, Jerry and Becki Hawkins of McDonough, Ray Hawkins of Cumming; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives also survive.



Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 19th, at 2:00 PM, at the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Bridgeman and Rev. Ray Gober officiating. The interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Embracing Hospice, 8013 Majors Road, Cumming, GA 30041.
