He was born in Lapeer, Michigan, on February 7, 1933, the son of Cleveland & Mary (Watkins) Raymond. Gerald was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Korean Conflict. On January 21, 1956, he married the love of his life, Ernestine McCready in Lapeer.
He had lived in Gladwin County since 1977, previously residing in Metamora, Michigan. Gerald was owner/operator of Raymond Well Drilling in Gladwin and was a member of the Secord Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 59 years, Ernestine Raymond of Gladwin. He is also survived by his children: Gerald Raymond Jr. of Gladwin; Joseph Raymond of Gladwin; Stacey (Tonya) Raymond of Gladwin; Jennifer Raymond of Blanchard, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Gilbert Raymond of Oklahoma; Robert Raymond of Attica, Michigan; 3 sisters: Norene Allen of Lapeer; Norma Wojes of Leonard, Michigan; Bonnie Ostrander of Arkansas; several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; 7 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Timothy Lambert of Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 1:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, from 6-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
