From an 1890 Cumberland Daily Times obituary -- "DEATHS OF THE WEEK 08 Mar 1890 ...Child of J W Shroyer;....STOVER 06 Aug 1890 Mrs Harriet L Stover, died of old age at her residence 17 N Liberty Street, aged 87 years. She was born and died in the same house. Her maiden name was Shryer and was an aunt of druggist T. W. Shryer. In 1825, she married Solomon Stover of Frederick Co and from this union 7 children were born: John Stover and Mrs Ellen Clark of Cumberland; Shryer Stover of Charlestown; and Mrs Rose Krauss (Crouse) of Reading PA survive. In 1850, she joined the English Lutheran Church. The funeral is from the home with Rev J W Finkbiner and burial in Rose Hill Cemetery."
