He was born on January 6, 1925, the son of Arthur & Neomi (Douglas) Reich in Springfield, Illinois. Carl was a veteran of the United States Navy, proudly serving his country during World War II. He had lived in Gladwin County for the past 20 years, previously residing in Davison, Michigan.
Carl was employed by A.C. Spark in Flint, Michigan, retiring after 31 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 38 in Fenton, Michigan, and the VFW Post # 5587 in Holly, Michigan.
Carl was an avid outdoorsman, loved to fish and hunt, and especially loved Detroit Tigers Baseball.
He is survived by his 2 sons: Douglas (Rhonda) Reich of Fenton; Jay Reich of Waterford; 2 grandchildren; brother: Reverend Arthur (Joan) Reich Jr.; 3 sisters: Norma Hunt of Penn Valley, California; Marcia (David) Ray of Grass Valley, California; Ruth Rucinski of East Lansing; several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Frank Reich; Keith Reich.
Honoring his wishes cremation will take place and inurnment will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
