Mr. Ashburn is survived by wife, Vella Mae Norris Ashburn; daughter, Diana Ashburn Wilson and husband, Mike; sons, Dana Ashburn and wife, Gwen and Red Ashburn; siblings, Oral Ashburn, Noal Ashburn and Mary Lou Ashburn Martin; grandchildren, Jason Wilson and wife, Amy White Wilson, Chanda Wilson Carter and husband, Stanley, Amanda Wilson Robbins and husband, Russ, LeeAnn Wilson Isabell and husband, Jason, Amber Ashburn Pyle and husband, Seth and Alyssa Ashburn; great- grandchildren, Dakota Wilson, Bailey Carter, Cassie Carter, Stan Carter, Harper Robbins, Heston Robbins, Devin Isabell, and Millie Isabell.
Mr. Ashburn was preceded in death by parents, Lonza and Ethel Atkinson Ashburn; daughter-in-law, Dolly Allred Ashburn; and eight siblings.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mundy Funeral Home South Chapel in Clarkrange, TN, with Bro. Bill Durham and Bro. Tony Huling officiating. Burial followed in the Jonesville Cemetery. Pallbearers included Dana Ashburn, Kenny Ashburn, Bill Durham, Gabriel Durham, Mike Hall, Seth Pyle, Dakota Wilson and Jason Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Ashburn, Zachary Bates, Curtis Hall and Brady King.
