She was born August 6, 1952 in Killeen Texas, daughter of Keith C. and Joyce M. Kading Pearson. She graduated from Jefferson High School, Independence and received an associate degree from Hawkeye Community College.
Connie Jo enjoyed walking Abby, working side-by-side with Kelby on remodeling projects, and gardening. She was a loyal fan of her Dallas Cowboys and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
She retired from H & H Heating and Air in 2015.
Survivors include: her son, Kelby (Ashley) Haynes of Waterloo; her sister, Pam (Richard) Sackett of Winthrop; a nephew, Justin Rogers of Bradenton, Florida; a niece, Dawn (Ryan) Kress of Winthrop; two grand nieces, Kading and Reagan Kress; and two special friends, her number one girl, Abby and her grand puppy Sydney.
Preceded in death by: her parents; a nephew, Nicholas Sperfslage.
Public visitation will be from 3 until 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 6 p.m. vigil service. Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence at a later date.
