Heather Nicole Cummings, 20, of Winchester, died Tuesday morning, Oct. 18, at her residence after a 2 1/2 year diligent bout with cancer.
She was born May 7, 1991 in Lexington to Alex and Sheri Cummings.
Heather was a Clark County native. She graduated in 2009 from Oakdale Christian Academy in Breathitt County, and was a member of the FFA, a believer in Christ and loved to travel.
Heather loved and adored her parents, brothers, grandparents, family, friends and her pets.
Survivors include her parents, Alex and Sheri Cummings of Winchester; two brothers, Alex Cummings of Winchester and Chris Brown (Megan) of El Paso, Texas; paternal grandparents, Billy and Helga Cummings of Lexington; maternal grandparents, Faye McPhearson (June) of Mount Sterling and Marion Baber (Patsy) of Tennessee; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins; and her precious dog, Penny Roo Roo.
Pallbearers will be Andy Wills, Chris Brown, Donnie Cummings, Alex Cummings, Billy Cummings and James Cummings.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Henry Cummings, Kirby Nelson, Jennifer Fiefahus, Emily Nelson and Kim Nelson.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations are made to the National Children’s Cancer Society, the Ronald McDonald House in Houston, Texas, and to Adam’s Angels Ministry in Brenham, Texas.
Funeral services will Saturday at 10 a.m.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive, with Andy Wills officiating.
Burial will follow at Clarmont Memorial Gardens in Winchester.
