Joseph E. Crane, age 88, of Nashville, TN, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016. Joseph is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Drucilla Hall Crane.
Joseph is survived by his children; Dale Crane and Brenda Gentry, grandchildren; Jonathan Crane, Heather Gentry, Erinn Badger and Seth Crane. Joseph is also survived by his brother, Don (Jane) Crane.
Joseph was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during WWII as a medic. He was also a teacher for over 30 years and taught Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Joseph was a pastor and studied at Ft. Worth Seminary where he obtained his first Master's Degree. He was pastor at Holiday Heights Baptist Church in Hendersonville, TN. Joseph was also a master gardener. He cultivated orchids and was president of the Hobby Greenhouse. Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Life Celebration for Joseph will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 E. Main Street in Hendersonville, TN on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Chris Davis.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the funeral home from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the Life Celebration. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Goodlettsville with Military Honors.
