John Curtis Rhone 1952-2016
John Curtis Rhone, 63, of Milton, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 9, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born on June 21, 1952, in Bowie, Texas, to the late Hugh and Marie Rhone. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1971. John proudly served his country for over 20 years as a member in the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, and retiring from the U.S. Navy. After retiring from the military, he worked Civil Service at NAS Whiting Field in the Academic Training department. He was a very loving husband, father, brother, son, and grandfather. He will always be deeply loved and missed. John enjoyed fishing and watching his favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Hugh and Marie Rhone. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Zenaida "Sandy" Rhone of Milton, Florida; daughters, Kristin Rhone of Milton, Florida, Maricel (Gontran) Orozco of Jacksonville, Florida, and Tammy (Karl) Wagner of Corpus Christi, Texas; brothers, Ken Rhone of Papillion, Nebraska, Bill (Leonita) Rhone of Bowie, Texas, Stan (Glynda) Rhone of Cleburne, Texas, Tom (Judy Ann) Rhone of Snyder, Texas, and Jodie (Karen) Rhone of Wichita Falls, Texas; sisters, Judy (Ralph) Pilgreen of Waurika, Oklahoma, and Barbara (Kenny) Robertson of Bowie, Texas; grandchildren, Kiana Edwards, Renaldo and Marcos Orozco, Andrew, Marcus, Devin, and Sydney Wagner; two favorite aunts Ruth Stephens and Dorothy Rhone; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 17, 2016, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel.Funeral Procession will leave Lewis Funeral Home in Pace promptly at 9:30 a.m., Monday, January 18, 2016, to travel to the Chapel onboard Pensacola Naval Air Station. We encourage you to come early to get in the vehicle line up, the family will begin lining up at 8:30 a.m.Funeral Services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 18, 2016, at the Naval Aviation Memorial Chapel, Pensacola NAS. Graveside Services is scheduled at 11:45 a.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery, with full Military Honors.
