Mr. Clyde Gray Adams, 79, of Jonesville died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
Mr. Adams was born Dec. 20, 1923, in Yadkin County to James Sanders and Gertrude Reece Adams.
He was retired from Chatham Manufacturing Company after 45 years of service and was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; Paul Adams; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Shores Adams.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Betty Marie C. Adams of the home; a son, Donald Gray (Judy) Adams of Greensboro; a granddaughter; Ingrid Adams (David) Ostrom of Greensboro; a great-grandson, William Benjamin Ostrom; a brother, Richard Adams of Jonesville; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Oliver Adams of Jonesville.
The Adams family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Gentry Family Funeral Home, Little Mountain Road, Jonesville.
The funeral service for Mr. Adams will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at Fall Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Don Hudson. Mr. Adams will lie in state from 10:30 to 11 a.m prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
