Helen Binderup, 87, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at Bethany Home in Minden. Services were held Thursday at United Methodist Church in Minden with the Rev. Dr. Bill Hunter officiating.

Mrs. Binderup was born Sept. 21, 1918, to Anton and Hannah (Smith) Jepsen in Kearney County. She graduated from District 45 near Minden. On Oct. 10, 1942, she married Herman Binderup. They lived and farmed east of Newark and moved into Minden in 1972. Her husband died in 1995. She lived at Bethany Home for one year.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Minden, Danish Brotherhood, many card clubs and an extension club.

Survivors are three sisters, Mildred Sinsel and Nina Garrelts, both of Minden, and Thelma Scheidies of Kearney.
