2008 obituary. PORTLAND -- Laurette M. St. Cyr, 88, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at Mercy Hospital. Born June 13, 1920, in Bromptonville Quebec Canada she was the daughter of the late Oliva and Yvonne Benjamin Blais. Laurette was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She retired from Sebago Shoe Co. and was very active in the Northfield Green Residence Association. She had a great passion for her family, they all were her life and she loved spending time with them all. She loved her weekly Bingo games at North Field Green and spending time with all of her friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, J. Roger St. Cyr; and two daughters, M. Madeline Chamard and Jean L. DeRossett. She was also predeceased by four brothers and sisters, Jacqueline Blais Dufresne, Marcel Blais, Jean-Maurice Blais and Laurent Blais. Visiting hours will be Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. Prayers will be Saturday 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home to be followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Joseph's Church, 673 Stevens Ave., Portland. Interment will be in Old Calvary Cemetery South Portland.
