Christopher J. Jelski, 30, of East Chicago, passed away Saturday, December 26, 1998 at home. Survivors are father, Adam; three brothers, Ronald (Martha) Jelski and Michael Jelski of Highland and Adam J. Jelski of East Chicago; one sister, Dianna (Kenneth) Durbin of Round Lake Beach, IL; and seven nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother Florence.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 1998 at 9:30 a.m. from the Prusiecki Funeral Home, 3831 Main St., East Chicago, IN, with 10 a.m. Mass at St. John Cantius Church with Father Joseph Niezgoda officiating.

Burial at Calvary Christian Cemetery in Portage, IN. Visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer Vigil will be recited 3 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be appreciated.
