In the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 13, 2016, Ralph Glen Watson went to be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven. He was 73 years old.

Ralph was born on March 22, 1942 in Cleveland, Tennessee. He devoted a total of 35 years of service to his country between the United States Air Force and Civil Service where he earned many awards. Mr. Watson was a graduate of Gunter Air University and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Cleveland State College in Tennessee.

His job in civil service brought him and his family to the Middle Georgia Area where they lived happily for 33 years. Ralph was an avid outdoorsman. He loved camping and golfing. Mr. Watson was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, NARRF and former member of the Georgia Jaycees. Mr. Watson was of the Baptist faith. Ralph's life was one lived with honor, integrity and a love for God, his country, and his family. He will be missed by his family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Roy B. and Rosa Mae Carden Watson; his niece, Kim Gentry; his nephew, Jeff Watson; and great-great-niece, Malorie Rose Shell.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol G. Watson of Perry; daughter, Tamilee Palmer (James Glenn) of Baconton, Georgia; grandchildren, Caroline Mary Palmer and James Glenn Palmer, Jr.; siblings, Roy Cecil Watson (Alene), Raymond Watson (Judy), Jane Seaborn (Donald), Reba Gentry, and Randy Neal Watson (Darlene), all of Cleveland, Tennessee; 12 nieces and nephews; 21 great-nieces-and-nephews, and 6 great-great-nieces-and-nephews.

The family will receive friends at McCullough Funeral Home on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Graveside services will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Ralph Glen Watson to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - GA Chapter, 3715 Northside Pkwy. Bldg. 400, Atlanta, GA 30327.
