TUPELO - Sandra Ann McKernan Douglas, 74, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born July 28, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois to Norman E. McKernan and Pearl Van Natta McKernan. During her younger years, Sandra attended Flight Attendant School and worked for TWA. She later worked as a cashier in retail sales. She enjoyed knitting, ceramics and painting. She was passionate about her animals and her greatest joy was her family.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2016, in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Kevin Hurt officiating. There is no visitation scheduled.
Survivors include her daughter, Tracy Foss of Tupelo; sons, Steven Shikles of Tupelo, Robert Edward Speich (Karla), and Allen Dale Speich, all of Kansas City, Kansas; one brother, Norman Richard McKernan (Pamela) of Brooksville, Florida; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
