Born November 5, 1887 in Cook County Illinois, he moved to Ellsworth in 1905 with his parents, brothers and sisters. He married Elsie Bender and farmed in Ellsworth County until 1944 when he and his family moved to Washington, D.C. He worked for Capitol Transit Company until he retired, then moved to Lanham. His wife died several years ago.
He is survived by a daughter' Mrs. T.E. (Irene Ann) Simpkins, and a grandson, T.E. ''Buddy'' Simpkins Jr., Lanham. A sister-in-law, Mrs. Joe ( Bertha) HoIecek llves in Ellsworth .
The funeral was at 1 p.m. June 25 at Hales Funeral Home, Lanham. Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.
