Rose Lucille Reed, 99, of Corydon, died Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon. She was born July 10, 1916, in Corydon, to the late Carry and Sarah L. Swan Watson. She was a member of Hill Grove Christian Church near Corydon, was retired from the old Indiana Army Ammunition Plant in Charlestown, Indiana and was a farmer. Rose loved gardening, working with her flowers, taking care of her home and family, and was especially known for her cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul James Reed; her daughter, Patsy Bloat; her son, Darrell Reed; her sisters, Mildred Wilson and Mamie Dailey; her brothers, Woodrow and William Harold Watson; and her grandchildren, Rickey and Joseph Conley.

Survivors include her daughter, Paula Craig (Christopher) of Corydon; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Reed of Georgetown, Indiana; her grandchildren, Alan, Brian, Laura, Sue, Gary and Sandy Reed, Debbie Monroe, Jan Cox, Anthony, Jerry and Lonnie Conley, Scott Bloat and Nicholas Cline; 15 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2016, at Beanblosssom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Webster Oglesby will officiate. Burial will be in Central Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00 '96 7:00 p.m. Saturday and after 12:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Alan, Brian, Paul, Gary and Eric Reed, Nicholas Cline, Darrell Chinn and Matthew Monroe. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Cantrell, David Hunter, Anthony Beaven, Chuck and David Jones, Jim Dailey, Carry and Fred Watson and Edward Reed.
