Daughter of Amanda Rose & Amos Miner (Sister Flora's death record lists their surnames as Ross & Minor). Her father was the first to settle in Kaneville Township (his fascinating story can be found at Genealogy Trails) & Mary was the first white child born in Kaneville Township. Wife of Robert Alexander the couple later resided in Campton Township.
