Mr. Justin Pierce "J. P." Mann, Sr., age 85, of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away January 14, 2016.
He was born March 14, 1930, to the late Robert and Lena McAdams Mann.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Mann; and two sons-in-law, Cary Thompson and Tony Yates.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Mann of Tallapoosa; three daughters and a son-in-law, Carolyn Thompson of Marietta, GA, and Jean Yates and Lynn and Sonny Farmer all of Temple, GA; a son and daughter-in-law, J. P. and Pat Mann, Jr., of Tallapoosa; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 17, 2016, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Dr. Mason Bush and Rev. Jimmy Bryan officiating.
Pallbearers serving will be Laejandro Sugndo, Chad Hulsey, Brandon Farmer, Johnny Spray, Jody Weaver, and Jerry Kee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Wallace, Blake Farmer, Shane Mann, Chris Turner, and Sonny Farmer.
Interment will follow in Mann Family Cemetery.
His family will receive friends Saturday, January 16 beginning at 3:30 PM.
