Larry Wayne Dennis
(February 23, 1942 - January 13, 2016)
Larry Wayne Dennis, 73, of Evansville went to be with the Lord at 7:50 pm, Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Larry was born February 23, 1942 in Evansville the son of the late Cleo and Margaret (Chivalere) Dennis and attended Bosse High School. He retired from Whirlpool as a head operator after 37 years of service. Larry attended Bethel Temple Church and was a member of VFW Post #2953 Men’s Auxiliary.
Larry enjoyed the great outdoors. His grandsons fueled his inspiration of hunting, fishing, and boating. Larry enjoyed spending the winter in Winter Haven, Florida where he could continue his love of the outdoors year round.
He is survived by his loving wife; Barbara, of 55 years, daughter Shelley (Dennis) Holder, (Mark), Grandsons, Nick & Zack Holder, Brother Cleo Dennis (Jr.), (Maxine) all of Evansville, IN and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville with Reverend David Schwambach officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 4 pm until 8 pm, Friday, January 15, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel and again from 9 am until time of service at 10 am, Saturday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Bethel Church Adult Bible Class. Condolences may be made to the family online at boonefuneralhome.net
