Merlyn was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He and his wife of 57 years, Evelyn, moved to Knoxville in 1994. Prior to moving he was a Highway Engineer for the State of New York for 37 years. He was the Design Engineer for several State Highway reconstruction projects in the Rochester region. He loved traveling, golf and being with his family. For 39 years, he and Evelyn round and square danced. They belonged to Grand Rounds Club since 1994.
Merlyn was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Lena Myers and 2 brothers, Marcus and Eldred.
A Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, February 13, at 12 noon at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with a luncheon to follow at Milestones Event Center located next door to the funeral home.
