Charlene Mae (Jack) Olsen of Greeley, Colorado went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2016. Charlene was born in Greeley on October 6, 1927, to Frank G. Jack and Leonora M. (Biggs) Jack, and lived in the area all 88 years of her life. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1945, and attended Colorado State College of Education. On October 30, 1949 she married Dale Olsen. They resided on a farm east of Lucerne, Colorado where they raised their 3 children, until 1978, when they moved to Eaton. They later divorced.

Charlene was a legal secretary for 30 years in the law offices of Waldo and Waldo and Apple, and later worked as executive secretary to John C. Todd until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of the Worthwhile Workers Extension Homemakers Club, in which she held various offices and was a charter member. She was also a member of Amico club, serving as secretary and pianist. She was a past member of Beta Sigma Phi cultural and social sorority, and the Eaton Music Club. She was also Past President of the Weld County Extension Homemakers Council and served as Chairman of the Class Reunion for the Greeley High School class of 1945. She was a member of the First Congregational Church.

Charlene was a talented musician, playing the piano mostly by ear. She often played for clubs and social gatherings. She was an excellent pie baker and served her family many delicious meals through the years. Charlene made a positive impact on everyone she would meet. She never knew a stranger and always had a smile and a kind word for everyone – all reasons why she had so many friends. She dearly loved her children and delighted in her grandchildren and was so proud of all their many accomplishments. She was a huge sports fan – loved the Broncos and would watch most any sport on TV, basketball and football being her favorites. She did lovely embroidery and made many sets of tea towels for brides-to-be. Charlene was a wonderful example of someone who makes the most of life, inspiring those around her, and making the world a better place. She appreciated everything she had and met the challenges that came in her life with strength of character and grace of spirit.

She is survived by her son, two daughters, a granddaughter, four grandsons, two great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons, and 2 great-grandchildren on the way.

Family members who preceded her in death are her parents; a sister, Margaret Jean Hood; a brother, Frank Jack Jr.; and twin brother, Charles Jack Sr.
