Funeral services for Elizabeth “Sis” Ann Cardwell, 81, of Sellersburg, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at Scott Funeral Home’s North Chapel, Jeffersonville, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012.

She was born in Louisville, and enjoyed spending her time with family and traveling. She was a former member of Clifton Baptist Church and attended Eastside Christian Church.

She is survived by her six children, William Cardwell and his wife, Ann, of Sellersburg, Betty Lou Cardwell, of Jeffersonville, Roger Cardwell and his wife, Carol, of Jeffersonville, Riva Harvey and her husband, Ronnie, of Underwood, Perry Cardwell, of Sellersburg, and Sue Sceifers, of Clarksville; four siblings, Georgia Caldwell, of Louisville, Alice Young and her husband, Ernie, of Tehachapi, Calif., Nellie Rose Bolin, of Louisville, and Donald Stivers and his wife, Mollie, of Bloomfield, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Cardwell Sr.; parents, Joseph and Frankie “Sweets” Stivers; son, Mark Cardwell; three brothers, Frank, Robert and Joe Stivers; and sister, Josephine Hayes.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, and after 9 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
