BATES, Cheryl Lynn 53, of Plant City, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 12, 2016. She was an alumni of Plant City High School and the University of South Florida. She was a math teacher at Strawberry Crest High School. She loved her family, and she enjoyed vacationing with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, John Switch; daughter, Jennifer Moores (Scott) of Riverview; parents, Richard and Donna Kincade; sister, Tina Johnson (Mike) of Lakeland; grandchildren, Henley and Alden Moores; nephews, Zachary, Tyler, and Mason; and dachshunds, Dottie and Bailey. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Hall. The family will receive friends on Friday, Jan. 15 from 6-8 pm. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 CR 39 S, Plant City, where a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 16 at 11 am. Private inurment at Hopewell Memorial Gardens, Plant City. In lieu of basket and standing grave flowers, the family would prefer plants as lasting tributes to Cheryl.
