Rita A. Mulroy, 60, Holton, died Saturday, Nov 5, at a Topeka hospital of an apparent heart attack.
She was born April 14, 1923 at Seneca, the daughter of William and Zella Symmons Winkler. She lived in the Holton community the past 30 years and previously lived in the Corning and Wetmore communities.
Mrs. Mulroy was a member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Holton.
She was married to William McAsey October 9, 1947, at Wetmore. He died August 24, 1977. She was married to Jerome Mulroy Dec. 27, 1982, at Holton. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Judy Arnold, Circleville; two sons, William Joseph McAsey and Roger McAsey, both of Holton; four sisters, her twin, Mrs. Zita Becker, Hiawatha, and Mrs. Millie Tanking and Mrs. Evelyn Haverkamp, both of Seneca, and Mrs. Bernadine Johnson, Frankfort and three grandchildren, Kimberly and Shelley Arnold, Circleville, and William Jon McAsey, Holton.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10a.m. Tuesday at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church here. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at Holton. Rosaries will be recited 7pm today and Monday at Mercer Funeral Home.
