Nancy J. Primm Gilliam, age 73, of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday Aug. 30, 2011.
A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Evelyn Goodwin Primm. She was also preceded in death by a son, William Harris Gilliam, II who died in 2008 and by her brothers, Howard Primm, Jr. and George Primm.
Mrs. Gilliam is survived by her husband of 54 years, William “Bill” Gilliam; son, Greg Gilliam; daughter, Kristi Gilliam; brother, Charles Primm and his wife Judy; daughters in-law, Donna Gilliam and Mary Gilliam all of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Jessica, and Hannah Gilliam.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. Darryl Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with David Mitchell, Eric Lamb, Henry Phillips, Steve Primm, Ryan and Kyle Gilliam, Jessie Wisener, and Joe Kincaid serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Mitchell, Shane Primm, J.C. Morris, D.C. Barefield, Jimmy and Hobert Gilliam.
Mrs. Gilliam was a member of the Cresent Church of Christ and a homemaker. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of Christ Scholarship Fund at Cresent Church of Christ, 4915 Barfield Crescent Rd., Murfreesboro, TN 37128, (615) 896-4930 in memory of Mrs. Gilliam. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL.
