Julia J. (Conley) Cole
February 5, 1925 - January 12, 2016

GREENFIELD – Julia J. (Conley) Cole, age 90, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born on February 5, 1925 in Clark County, Illinois as the daughter of Cleveland and Belva (Lee) Conley. She graduated from Westfield Township High School. Julia married John "Jack" Inglert and he preceded her in death and she later married James E. Cole.

She worked for Fort Harrison Adjutant General's Office as an administrative assistant for over 20 years. Julia was a member of Eastern Star for 50 years and New Palestine Christian Church. She was a fantastic seamstress and crafter. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and bingo and was an amazing cook.

Julia is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, James Eugene "Tee-hee" Cole of Greenfield; daughters, Joyce Lay of Fountaintown and Shelly (Greg) Kleiman of Greenfield; step-daughter, Debbie (Kevin) O'Dell; six grandchildren, Eric Inglert, Mark Inglert, Heather Lancaster, Doug Lay, Nicholas Kleiman and Natalie Lewis; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and step-grandchildren, Chad Carlton and Lucas Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John "Jack" Inglert; son, John Inglert, Jr; and son-in-law, George "Ed" Lay.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 12:00 p.m. Larry Kleiman will be officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
